Energy Chanca Piedra tea (105g)

Chanca Piedra (Phyllantus nirruri) is native to the rainforests of the tropical areas on both hemispheres. Its original name can be translated as a “stone breaker” or “shatter stone” and it was used by the indigenous people in the treatment of gall- and kidney stones.
It contains high volume of alkaloids which are able to relax smooth muscles specific for urinary and bile tracts thus facilitating natural ejection of the stones and subsequent regeneration. It can help in digestion disorders, diarrhea, constipation, and flatulence.

Indigenous people of Amazonia call this inconspicuous spurge “break-stone” or “stone breaker”. For generations they have used it in the treatment of all urological disorders. Chanca Piedra is native to the areas of Central America, India and Southeast Asia. Here it has become an important medicinal plant of ayurvedic medicine. In 1988 it attracted attention of the scientific world when one reputable medical journal published the findings that application of Chanca Piedra significantly decreases activity of hepatitis B virus and thus lowers the risk of the permanent damage of liver tissues.

Use in the following conditions:

digestion disorders, stomach and intestinal inflammations
gall bladder and kidney stones
inflammation of urinary bladder, prostate, kidneys and genitals
type 2 diabetes
hepatitis B
joint pains
high blood pressure
fever.
Preparation and dosage: 1 – 2 soup spoons per 1 liter of cold water. Boil for 5 minutes maximum, strain immediately and drink small cups.

Effects: Chanca Piedra shows diuretic, spasmolytic and anti-inflammatory effects. It lowers blood pressure and a level of blood sugar. Improves the functioning of liver. Herb contains primarily chinolizidin alkaloids, flavonoids (rutin), and tannins.

Contraindications: Not suitable for children under age 3, pregnant and nursing women.
